NFHCA Partners With Corrigan Sports – Creates National Recruiting Tournament Series

Elkridge, MD (November 12, 2014)– Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today it has entered into an agreement with the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) to serve as the group’s exclusive event management and sports marketing firm. The partnership includes the creation of a national recruiting tournament series for high school club field hockey teams. The first NFHCA sanctioned tournament will take place in the Mid-Atlantic region in April of 2015 and feature student-athletes from the graduating classes of 2016-2018.

NFHCA President Andy Whitcomb said, “”We are so excited to be collaborating with Corrigan Sports. The student-athletes, in particular, will benefit the most. Players will have events that are nationally recognized and they will not be beholden to the overabundance of other tournaments and events that are out there. These will be the premier events and, once established, coaches and athletes alike will find they would be remiss in not attending. Furthermore, both coaches and student-athletes will be saving money and valuable time. The NFHCA is confident that CSE will distinguish themselves almost immediately, as their event management and marketing capabilities have been well chronicled with the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association.”

“With the NFHCA seal of approval, players and parents know these new tournaments will feature a plethora of college coaches searching for the stars of tomorrow,” said Lee Corrigan, president of CSE. “On top of that, CSE’s level of professional event management, operations, and marketing will equate to a first-class tournament experience for participants and college coaches.”

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a non-profit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey.

CSE has also served as the event management and marketing firm for the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) since 2010. In that time, the IWLCA witnessed its tournament fields triple in size, expand to six events, and average more than 225 college coaches in attendance per tournament.
